URIs

A URI, or Uniform Resource Identifier, is a way to uniquely identify a resource, such as a webpage, image, or document on the internet. It often appears as a web address, like "http://www.example.com". URIs can be either URLs (which locate a resource) or URNs (which name a resource without indicating how to find it). Essentially, URIs help browsers and applications locate and access the information you need by providing a standardized format for identifying resources on the web.
