Universal Plug and Play (UPnP)
Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is a set of networking protocols that allows devices on a network, like computers, printers, and smart home gadgets, to discover and communicate with each other automatically. This means, for example, that you can easily share files between devices or control smart appliances from your phone without complicated setups. UPnP simplifies connectivity in home networks, making it user-friendly by enabling devices to find and connect to one another without requiring extensive user input or configuration. However, it also raises some security concerns, as improperly configured devices can be vulnerable to external access.
