Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, is a massive sandstone monolith located in Australia’s Northern Territory, within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. It stands about 348 meters tall and is famous for its stunning color changes at sunrise and sunset. Uluru holds deep cultural significance for the Indigenous Anangu people, who regard it as sacred. Visitors often explore its base through walks that reveal ancient rock art and unique geological features. Climbing Uluru was historically popular, but it was officially closed to climbers in 2019 to respect Indigenous traditions and promote conservation.
