Ulnar nerve entrapment

Ulnar nerve entrapment occurs when the ulnar nerve, which runs from the neck down the arm to the hand, becomes compressed or squeezed, often at the elbow near the inside part known as the "funny bone." This can cause numbness, tingling, weakness, or discomfort in the ring and little fingers, as well as weakness in hand muscles. Causes include repetitive movements, prolonged bending of the elbow, injury, or pressure on the nerve. Treatment may involve rest, splinting, physical therapy, or in some cases, surgery to relieve the pressure and restore nerve function.
