UK Trade and Investment (UKTI)

UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) was a government department in the United Kingdom that supported businesses in exporting goods and services, as well as attracting foreign investment into the UK. Its role included providing advice, resources, and funding to help companies grow internationally. UKTI worked to simplify the process of entering overseas markets, offering market research, networking opportunities, and guidance on legal and regulatory requirements. In 2016, it was integrated into the Department for International Trade (DIT), which continues these functions to boost the UK’s international trade and investment prospects.
