U.S. Northern Command

U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) is a division of the U.S. military responsible for defending the homeland—North America—primarily the United States, Canada, Mexico, and surrounding waters and airspace. It coordinates defense efforts among the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard to respond to natural disasters, terrorism, cyber threats, and other emergencies. USNORTHCOM also collaborates with international partners and agencies to ensure national security and resilience. Its mission is to provide command and control for defense and support efforts within the northern part of the Western Hemisphere.
