Tweede Kamer (House of Representatives)

The Tweede Kamer, or House of Representatives, is the primary legislative body in the Netherlands. It consists of 150 members elected every four years by Dutch citizens. Its main roles are to create, amend, and approve laws; scrutinize government actions; and represent the interests of the public. The Kamer plays a crucial part in shaping national policy, holding debates, and ensuring government accountability. It works closely with the Senate (Eerste Kamer) and the government, functioning as the key forum for democratic decision-making and oversight in the Dutch political system.
