Tumor Staging

Tumor staging describes how advanced a cancer is, helping doctors determine the best treatment. It considers factors like the tumor's size, whether it has spread to nearby tissues or lymph nodes, and if it has metastasized to other parts of the body. Staging uses a system often called TNM (Tumor, Node, Metastasis), with stages ranging from I (early, confined to the original site) to IV (advanced, spread elsewhere). Accurate staging guides prognosis and treatment decisions, providing a clear picture of the cancer's extent.
