Troy
Troy is an ancient city located in what is now northwest Turkey, famously known from the "Iliad," an epic poem by the Greek poet Homer. It was the site of the Trojan War, a legendary conflict between the Greeks and Trojans sparked by the abduction of Helen, a Greek queen. The city is also famous for the Trojan Horse, a deceptive strategy used by the Greeks to infiltrate and capture Troy. Archaeological excavations have revealed multiple layers of settlement, indicating its long history and significance in ancient civilization and mythology.
