Tropical Astrology

Tropical astrology is a system that assigns zodiac signs based on the position of the Sun relative to the Earth throughout the year. It divides the ecliptic—the path the Sun appears to take across the sky—into twelve equal parts, corresponding to the twelve signs of the zodiac. Each sign correlates with a specific time of year, beginning with Aries at the spring equinox. This system is focused on the seasons, making it widely used in Western astrology. It contrasts with sidereal astrology, which is based on the actual positions of constellations in the sky.
