Troglobites
Troglobites are specialized animals that live permanently in caves and have adapted to life in completely dark, stable environments. They often have unique features like loss of pigmentation, reduced or absent eyes, and elongated limbs or antennae to navigate their surroundings. These creatures are typically sensitive to light and cannot survive outside the cave environment, relying on the resources available there, such as organic debris or small invertebrates. Troglobites play a vital role in subterranean ecosystems and are examples of extreme biological adaptation to extreme habitats.
