Trimmigrants

Trimmigrants are individuals, often from countries with lower living costs, who move to more expensive cities or countries to seek temporary work. The term combines "trim" (as in trimming cannabis plants) with "immigrant." Many trimmigrants come to places like California during harvest seasons to work in the cannabis industry, taking jobs that require manual labor for a short period. They may stay for a few months, earning wages that are sometimes significantly higher than in their home countries, while also navigating visa and residency challenges.
