Trigger Points

Trigger points are tiny, hyperirritable spots within tight muscle fibers that can cause localized pain or discomfort and sometimes refer pain to other areas. They often develop from muscle overuse, injury, or poor posture, leading to knots that restrict movement and cause soreness. When pressed, these spots can feel tender and may produce pain sensations that spread beyond the trigger point itself. Treatment typically involves techniques like massage, stretching, or physical therapy to deactivate these points, reduce discomfort, and restore normal muscle function.
