Transradial access

Transradial access is a medical procedure in which a doctor inserts a thin, flexible tube (catheter) into the radial artery located in the wrist. This approach allows the doctor to reach the heart and blood vessels for diagnostic tests or treatments, such as angiograms or stent placements. Compared to the traditional method through the groin, transradial access often offers reduced bleeding risks, quicker recovery, and greater patient comfort. It has become a popular choice because it is safe, effective, and allows many patients to regain mobility sooner after the procedure.
