Train Law

The TRAIN Law, or Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law, is a Philippine government measure that updates tax policies to generate revenue for public services and infrastructure. It introduces higher income tax brackets for individuals, modifies excise taxes on fuel, sugar, and tobacco, and adjusts other levies to promote fairer contribution. The law aims to help fund social programs, improve public transportation, and reduce poverty. While it increases some taxes, it also includes measures to protect low-income earners through increased personal exemptions and targeted assistance, balancing revenue needs with social equity.
