Total War theory

Total War theory refers to the concept of warfare where a nation mobilizes all of its resources—military, economic, and civilian—toward the war effort. Unlike limited conflicts, total war seeks to achieve complete victory over the enemy by targeting not only their military but also their infrastructure, economy, and civilian morale. This approach often involves widespread destruction and the involvement of the entire society in the war process. Historical examples include World War I and World War II, where the scale and impact of warfare extended beyond the battlefield, affecting everyday life and leading to significant social and political changes.
