Total Depravity

Total Depravity is a theological concept that suggests all humans are fundamentally affected by sin, making us unable to choose or do good on our own without divine intervention. It doesn't mean people are as wicked as possible, but that every aspect of our nature—mind, will, and emotions—is tainted by sin. As a result, humans are naturally inclined toward selfishness and rebellion against God, and require God's grace to be redeemed and to choose what is truly good. This doctrine emphasizes dependence on God's grace for salvation.
