Torque
Torque is a measure of how much a force acting on an object causes it to rotate around a point or axis. Imagine trying to open a door: the force applied at the handle is more effective than pushing near the hinges. This effectiveness is due to two factors: the amount of force applied and the distance from the rotation point (the hinge). Torque combines these aspects, enabling us to understand and predict the rotational motion of objects, such as wheels, levers, and gears, in various applications within mechanics and engineering.
