Toluid Civil War
The Toluid Civil War (1355–1357) was a conflict within the Yuan Dynasty in China, fought between the political factions of two grandsons of Kublai Khan—Toghon Temür (the successor) and his nephew, Ariq Böke. It arose from disputes over the succession and power struggles among Mongol leaders. The war involved fierce battles, political intrigue, and shifting alliances. Ultimately, Toghon Temür emerged victorious, solidifying his authority. This civil war weakened the Yuan Dynasty, contributing to its decline and the eventual resurgence of Chinese rule.
