Toleration
Toleration is the practice of accepting and permitting beliefs, actions, or practices that you may not personally agree with or hold, without trying to interfere or punish them. It involves respecting others’ rights to their differences while maintaining your own principles. Toleration fosters peaceful coexistence in diverse societies by acknowledging that people have diverse views and lifestyles, and that living harmoniously often requires patience and open-mindedness. It is about allowing diversity to flourish without necessarily endorsing or adopting those differing beliefs or behaviors.
