Togoland
Togoland was a former territory in West Africa that was divided between Germany, Britain, and France during the colonial era. Established as a German protectorate in the late 19th century, Togoland was known for its rich resources and diverse cultures. After World War I, the League of Nations divided the territory; the western part became British Togoland, and the eastern part became French Togoland. Eventually, these areas gained independence, contributing to the formation of the modern-day countries of Ghana and Togo. Togoland's history reflects the complexities of colonialism and its lasting impact on the region.
