TOF (Time of Flight)

Time of Flight (TOF) is a measurement technique that determines the distance to an object by timing how long it takes for a signal, such as light or sound, to travel from a source to the object and back. Essentially, a device sends out a pulse and measures the time until it returns. Since the speed of the signal is known, this elapsed time allows precise calculation of the distance. TOF is commonly used in applications like 3D imaging, autonomous vehicles, and medical imaging to create accurate spatial measurements efficiently.
