tobacco farming
Tobacco farming involves growing tobacco plants, primarily for the production of cigarettes, cigars, and other products. Farmers plant seeds in prepared soil, nurture the young plants, and carefully manage watering, fertilizing, and pest control throughout the growing season. Once mature, the leaves are harvested, usually by hand, and then cured through controlled drying processes to develop flavor and reduce moisture. The cured leaves are sorted, processed, and distributed for manufacturing. While it can be profitable, tobacco farming also raises health and environmental concerns related to crop chemicals and leaf waste.
