Tipper Gore

Tipper Gore is an American political activist, author, and the wife of former Vice President Al Gore. She became well-known in the late 1980s for her advocacy regarding censorship of music, particularly after she expressed concerns about explicit content in rock music. This led to the establishment of the Parental Advisory label for albums with explicit lyrics. Tipper has also worked on issues such as mental health, women’s rights, and environmental protection. In addition to her activism, she has co-written books and has been involved in various public initiatives to promote social change.
