Tide

Tides are the regular rise and fall of sea levels caused primarily by the gravitational pull of the moon and, to a lesser extent, the sun. As the Earth rotates, different areas experience these changes in water level, resulting in high tides (when water is at its highest) and low tides (when water is at its lowest). This phenomenon occurs roughly every six hours, creating a cycle of two high and two low tides each day. Tides can also be influenced by local geography, weather, and ocean floor features, affecting their timing and amplitude.
