THz Imaging
THz imaging uses terahertz waves—electromagnetic signals between microwave and infrared frequencies—to create detailed images of objects. Unlike X-rays, THz waves are non-ionizing and safe for humans, allowing for the inspection of materials, security screening, and medical imaging without harmful radiation. They can penetrate some non-metallic materials like clothing, plastics, and packaging, revealing hidden objects or internal structures. THz imaging provides high-resolution, non-destructive, and non-invasive visualization, making it valuable for applications such as detecting concealed items, quality control, and biomedical diagnostics.
