THz Band
The THz band refers to the range of electromagnetic waves with frequencies between microwave and infrared, roughly 0.1 to 10 terahertz (THz). These waves can penetrate materials like clothing and plastics without harmful radiation, making them useful for imaging, security, and scientific applications. Unlike visible light, THz waves don't cause damage and can reveal hidden objects or detailed materials. However, they are challenging to generate and detect efficiently, so research is ongoing to unlock their full potential for communication and detection technologies.
