Threshold Models

Threshold models are ways to understand how behaviors or opinions spread within a group based on individuals' varying levels of influence or sensitivity. Each person has a certain threshold, representing the minimum amount of influence or others' adoption needed before they change their behavior or opinion. For example, someone might decide to try a new product only after a certain number of their friends have already done so. These models help explain how trends, ideas, or behaviors can suddenly take off once enough people reach their individual thresholds, leading to widespread adoption or change within a community.
