Third Napoleonic War
The Third Napoleonic War refers to a series of conflicts (1815-1817) following Napoleon Bonaparte’s brief return from exile, known as the Hundred Days. After Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo, European powers such as Britain, Austria, Prussia, and Russia sought to restore stability and prevent his resurgence. They formed alliances to suppress any uprising and reestablish the pre-Revolutionary order. This period involved military campaigns, negotiations, and efforts to strengthen European borders. It marked the final chapter in Napoleon’s conflict-filled era, leading to increased efforts at diplomatic stability and the eventual Congress of Vienna's lasting European peace arrangements.
