Third Law of Robotics
The Third Law of Robotics, formulated by sci-fi writer Isaac Asimov, states that a robot must protect its own existence as long as it does not conflict with the first two laws. These laws prioritize human safety and obedience. Essentially, this means that while robots are designed to follow commands and ensure human safety, they also have a directive to preserve themselves, provided this doesn't override their duty to humans. This law emphasizes the balance between a robot's self-preservation and its responsibilities towards people.
