Thermosetting polymers

Thermosetting polymers are a type of plastic that, once molded and cured, cannot be remolded or reshaped. During the curing process, the material undergoes a chemical reaction that permanently links the polymer chains together, creating a strong and rigid structure. This makes thermosetting polymers highly resistant to heat, chemicals, and deformation. Common examples include epoxy, phenolic resins, and silicone. They are widely used in applications like adhesives, coatings, and electrical insulators because of their durability and stability under harsh conditions.
