Therapeutic Endoscopy

Therapeutic endoscopy is a medical procedure used to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, which includes the esophagus, stomach, and intestines. During this procedure, a thin, flexible tube with a camera and tools is inserted through the mouth or rectum. This allows doctors to view the inside of the GI tract and perform treatments, such as removing polyps, controlling bleeding, or dilating strictures. It is a minimally invasive approach that often results in less pain and quicker recovery compared to traditional surgery.
