Theodelinda

Theodelinda was a significant historical figure in the 6th century, known for being the queen of the Lombards, a Germanic people who ruled parts of Italy. She was the daughter of the king of the Bavarians and married the Lombard king Authari. Theodelinda played a crucial role in the Christianization of the Lombards, influencing her husband to adopt Christianity. After Authari's death, she married Agilulf, another Lombard king, and continued to promote the faith. Her legacy includes the establishment of the Catholic Church in Lombard territories, and she is remembered for her powerful role in early medieval European history.
