The World Animal Health Organization
The World Animal Health Organization, known as OIE (Office International des Epizooties), is an international group that helps prevent and control diseases in animals worldwide. Its goal is to improve animal health, promote safe trade of animal products, and protect both animals and humans from infectious diseases. OIE sets standards, shares information, and provides guidance to governments and organizations to ensure animals are healthy, which in turn supports food security, biodiversity, and public health. It covers all kinds of animals, including livestock, pets, and wildlife.
