The Tor Network
The Tor Network is a system designed to enhance online privacy and security. It routes internet traffic through a series of volunteer-operated servers, known as "nodes," which conceal a user's location and browsing habits. By encrypting data multiple times and bouncing it through different nodes, Tor helps users access the internet anonymously. It’s often used to circumvent censorship and protect privacy, but it can also host websites that are not indexed by traditional search engines, often referred to as the "dark web." While it promotes freedom of information, it can also be misused for illegal activities.
