The Pyrenees are a mountain range that form a natural border between Spain and France in southwestern Europe. They stretch approximately 430 kilometers (270 miles) from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea and are characterized by rugged peaks, deep valleys, and lush forests. The highest peak is Aneto, reaching 3,404 meters (11,168 feet). The range is known for its diverse wildlife, scenic landscapes, and outdoor activities like hiking and skiing.
