The Power Paradox refers to the idea that gaining power often requires the support and trust of others, but once someone achieves power, they can become less empathetic or connected to those who helped them. Initially, leaders earn power through cooperation and building relationships, but as they ascend, their focus can shift inward or become self-serving. This paradox suggests that genuine leadership relies on maintaining humility and awareness of the needs of others, as losing these qualities can alienate supporters and ultimately weaken one’s position.
