The Normal Distribution

The normal distribution, often called the bell curve, is a pattern that many natural and social phenomena follow. It shows how data points are spread around an average (mean), with most values close to the middle and fewer values as you move farther away. The shape is symmetrical, meaning the pattern on one side mirrors the other. Examples include people's heights, test scores, or measurements like blood pressure. This distribution helps us understand and predict how typical or unusual a particular data point is within a dataset.
