The National PREA Resource Center

The National PREA Resource Center (PRC) is an organization dedicated to addressing sexual abuse in detention facilities, such as prisons and jails. Established under the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), its mission is to support efforts to prevent, detect, and respond to incidents of sexual violence. The PRC provides guidance, training, and resources to facilities, advocates, and policymakers to help create safer environments for individuals in custody. Its goal is to ensure that all detainees are treated with dignity and have access to services that promote their well-being and safety.
