The military regimes
Military regimes are governments led by military leaders, often arising after a coup d'état, where the military takes control of the state. These regimes typically suspend democratic processes, restrict civil liberties, and may rule through force or intimidation. They often justify their takeover by citing political instability or the need for security. While some military regimes eventually transition back to civilian government, others can persist for long periods, leading to human rights abuses and limited political freedoms. Examples include regimes in countries like Myanmar and Argentina during their respective periods of military rule.
