The Met Breuer
The Met Breuer was a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, focused on modern and contemporary art. Opened in 2016 and named after architect Marcel Breuer, the museum occupied a distinctive building known for its unique design. It aimed to present works from the 20th and 21st centuries, showcasing both established and emerging artists. However, in 2020, The Met announced it would close as a standalone museum. Its collections and programs were integrated into other parts of The Met, continuing its mission to engage the public with significant artistic developments.
