The last moon landing

The last moon landing, Apollo 17 in December 1972, was the final mission of NASA's Apollo program. Astronauts Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt traveled to the moon aboard the Saturn V rocket, landed in the Taurus-Littrow valley, and conducted scientific experiments and sample collection. They used the Lunar Module to descend from their command module, explored the lunar surface, and collected valuable rock and soil samples to study the moon’s geology. After their missions, they returned safely to Earth. This mission marked the end of human moon exploration for now, advancing our understanding of the moon and space travel.
