The Language of Life

The "Language of Life" refers to the genetic code that dictates how living organisms develop and function. This code is contained in DNA, which uses sequences of four chemical bases—adenine (A), thymine (T), cytosine (C), and guanine (G)—arranged in specific orders. These sequences form genes, which provide instructions for building proteins, the building blocks of life. Just as words form sentences to convey meaning, DNA sequences communicate the necessary information for growth, reproduction, and survival in all living things. Understanding this language helps scientists explore genetics, evolution, and biotechnology.
