The Inns of Court

The Inns of Court are professional organizations in London that serve as training and professional homes for aspiring barristers (lawyers specializing in courtroom advocacy). There are four main Inns—Inner Temple, Middle Temple, Gray's Inn, and Lincoln's Inn—which provide education, resources, and networking opportunities. They also oversee admission and uphold standards for practicing barristers. Historically, they have played a central role in England's legal system, blending tradition with modern legal education, and remain integral to the professional development and conduct of barristers today.
