The Hierarchy of the Church

The hierarchy of the Church is a structured leadership system. At the top is the Pope, the spiritual leader of the worldwide Church. Beneath him are cardinals, who assist in governance and select new Popes. Below them are bishops, overseeing dioceses or regions, and priests, who serve local congregations. Deacons assist priests and perform certain services. This hierarchy ensures organized guidance, doctrinal consistency, and pastoral care, helping the Church fulfill its spiritual mission and serve its members effectively.
