The Fogg Behavior Model and Its Application

The Fogg Behavior Model explains that for a person to perform a behavior, three things must happen at the same time: motivation (wanting to do it), ability (being capable of doing it), and a prompt (a trigger or cue). If any one of these is missing, the behavior is unlikely to occur. In practice, designers or planners use this model to encourage positive behaviors by increasing motivation, simplifying actions, or providing effective prompts, ensuring the desired behavior happens more easily and consistently.
