The end of time (theory)

The "end of time" theory explores how the universe might ultimately conclude its existence. Scientific ideas include the Big Freeze, where the universe keeps expanding and cools down, eventually becoming inhospitable; the Big Crunch, where gravity causes the universe to collapse back on itself; and the Big Rip, where dark energy causes space to expand so rapidly that galaxies, stars, and even atoms are torn apart. These theories are based on current understanding of cosmology and physics, but the precise fate of the universe remains uncertain and an active area of research.
