The Cultural Web Model

The Cultural Web Model is a framework for understanding the culture of an organization. It highlights six key elements: stories (the narratives that shape identity), rituals and routines (daily behaviors), symbols (logos and attire), power structures (decision-makers), organizational structure (hierarchies), and control systems (how performance is monitored). By examining these elements, organizations can identify their underlying beliefs and values, and how they influence behavior and performance. This model helps leaders recognize strengths and weaknesses in their culture, guiding change for better alignment with goals and improved effectiveness.
