The Causal Layered Analysis

Causal Layered Analysis (CLA) is a futures studies method that helps explore complex issues by breaking them down into four layers: **litany**, **systemic causes**, **worldviews**, and **myth/metaphor**. The **litany** includes immediate problems and trends, the **systemic causes** look at underlying structures, the **worldviews** examine beliefs and values shaping our perspectives, and the **myth/metaphor** considers deeper narratives influencing behavior. By analyzing these layers, CLA reveals how different factors interact and can inform better decision-making and strategies for the future.
