The Building Bridges Initiative

The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) is a project launched in Kenya in 2018 aimed at promoting unity and addressing issues that contribute to political and social divisions in the country. Formed after a contentious election, the BBI sought to improve governance, enhance inclusivity, and foster national cohesion through dialogue and reforms. It aimed to tackle challenges like ethnic polarization and economic disparities and involved citizens and political leaders in discussions. Ultimately, the initiative proposed constitutional changes and policy recommendations to create a more equitable society and promote peace among diverse communities.
